PROPERTIES

NITRASIL S has superior performance to R, and is very strong, with flexural strength of 690 MPa at 20⁰C, and 450 MPa at 1000⁰C.

Density is 3.25 g/cm³, there is no porosity.

The hardness of 1500 Kg/mm² Hv, and fracture toughness of 8MPam^1/2, give good resistance to wear and abrasion.
